Project Description
Polestar's inaugural Space in the UK, situated at Westfield White City, serves as a temporary hub until their permanent residence in Battersea is completed. Collaborating closely with the client, Polestar conceptual guidelines, Westfield Design and Technical Managers, and the contractor, the CMIA team played a pivotal role in successfully delivering this contemporary showcase. The space is designed to introduce and highlight the new Polestar cars within the UK market.
About the Project
Working closely with the team at Polestar, initial designs developed in tandem were deemed financially impractical for a temporary space. In collaboration with the Westfield Design Manager, CMI played a pivotal role in devising an alternative contemporary solution. This innovative approach incorporated a white powder-coated mesh above a brushed stainless steel entrance feature, gaining unanimous approval from all stakeholders. Throughout the intricate Westfield Approval process and in adherence to the envisioned opening date, CMI navigated complex timings during the manufacturing and construction phases. The resulting space stood out as a highly contemporary retail concept, drawing substantial media attention. Both the client and Polestar expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the space.
