Project Description
Overhauling an inadequate hospitality provision deemed unsuitable for its intended purpose, our focus was to inject fresh perspectives and adopt a novel approach. This initiative aimed to empower Watford Football Club, to establish an exclusive restaurant space within the stadium, adhering to stringent project timelines to adhere to football season.
About the Project
The peculiar geometry and challenging location of the designated space posed serious obstacles. A segment of the area had remained dormant for nine years, with limited access, including constrained routes to and from the stadium seats. Rigorous and inventive space planning became imperative to craft a bespoke dining experience, incorporating a fully equipped catering kitchen and two distinct restaurants—one of which served as a multifunctional space. Furthermore, meticulous planning encompassed employee locker rooms, showers, WCs, a beer cellar, and ancillary areas.
A detailed view
The comprehensive interior design yielded a distinctive and high-quality experience. Varied designs within the different restaurant sections provide diverse atmospheres, affording the multifunctional space. The primary challenge of the project lay in the four-month, out-of-season timeframe, with an immutable launch date. Compounded by the intricacies of the space, the project demanded swift understanding and interpretation of the brief, prompt design production, efficient contractor appointment, and budget-compliant management of the procurement process. The successful execution of this ambitious undertaking hinged on an agile and integrated approach with CMIA and our contractor partner. This collaborative effort ensured the project not only met but exceeded the stringent timelines and high standards set.
